StraZ – Live Concert

Organic Electronica

StraZ is the solo project of Brussels-based producer Sami Strazimiri. His music is based on an organic electronica, an intense and rhythmic atmosphere, all tinted with dreamy guitar flights and synths heavy layers. After some self-releases and solo gigs over the years, StraZ released his first EP in March 2023 under the Belgian label Tempest of Noise. Two years of composition and introspection in solitude forced by lockdown. A confinement that stirred a lot of anger within the artist. StraZ used this energy to compose It's Okay To Be Mad a six-track EP illustrating the different facets of this anger: its origins, its tension, its expression, its consequences. Read as a single text, the various tracks of the EP give us a glimpse into the meaning of his approach: Let's open it, before I fall. If I’m refraining, I’m gonna lose it. It’s okay to be mad. And now, what? The tracks are powerful and meant to take on an intense, cathartic, and dance dimension in live performances. Having enjoyed a return to the stage through a few local gigs, StraZ followed up with the composition of a new EP, After Madness, released on April 19, 2024 (Tempest of Noise) along with his very first live session. A new release assuming a way more techno-like sound along with a higher BPM, emanating a willingness to play and share those tracks live.
